My favorite sign after a summer of uprisings. In the words of Bryan Stevenson “the opposite of poverty is not wealth it is justice”
On this day we laid a brother to rest in power. Fists up. Face strong. Faith over fear. Justice is near if you brave enough to grow beyond your imagination. We always willing to ride or die for our homies, it’s time that we live just as hard for them too . . . #loveinpublic #restorativejustice #blacklove #blackhealing #forthehomies #hopelives
I share this photo with a heavy heart. This year has taught me sometimes we are forced to make sense of life changing events that make zero sense. While life is unfair, justice work is about creating the conditions and traditions for radical transformation to take place. A few weeks ago we reclaimed some old practices and imagined new ones when we said goodbye to a young brother who meant so much for our RJ movement. It dont make no sense and still I am committed to living in your legacy Cam. With unapologetic joy and truth we design spaces of love for our people. We practice grief, loss, healing and moving in the name of our homies made ancestor far too young
